For the people that didn’t know how great the sacrifice would be, until the very end. Those who answered the call, regardless of the sacrifice. The ones that did their best to protect the ones to the left and the right of them.
The people that gave for the ideals that they believed in. For those who showed up, even when the odds weren't in their favor. For those who continue to stand the watch, stand the duty, and currently choose a calling larger than themselves.
